Daphne obtained her Bachelor of Science in Education, cum laude, from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. She received a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Missouri – Kansas City and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law, where she was an assistant editor for The Urban Lawyer. In December 2000, Daphne completed her LLM in Dispute Resolution from the University of Missouri – Columbia School of Law, where she was a recipient of a fellowship through the Hewlett Foundation.
Daphne concentrates her practice in areas of personal injury defense, insurance coverage issues, workers’ compensation, family law, and alternative dispute resolution. She has served as a mediator in over 1,000 mediations involving personal injury, employment, business, community and family disputes. She has acted as an adjunct professor at the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law teaching Lawyering Skills, and has also participated in the training of mediators throughout Missouri and Kansas. Recently, she has served as a professor at Baker University School of Graduate and Professional Studies, where she has taught courses in Alternative Dispute Resolution. She is a recipient of Missouri Bar Pro Bono and KCMBA Dean of the Trial Bar Awards.
Daphne is a member of the Missouri and Kansas Bars.
