Jordan Bergus brings over a decade of distinguished legal experience to the firm, with a strong focus on litigation across numerous subject areas. He previously served as Division Counsel for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives in Kansas City, where he provided legal guidance on high-stakes investigations and represented the Government in regulatory litigation. His expertise spans complex areas such as Title III wiretaps, digital media warrants, and administrative hearings. Jordan also represented the agency in Title VII litigation and EEOC matters and was a trusted advisor on both field operations and internal legal policies.
Before joining ATF, Jordan served as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in Jackson County, Missouri, where he tried over thirty cases, primarily focused on homicides and violent crimes. He developed nationally recognized expertise in digital investigations and privacy law, training FBI agents and local law enforcement on electronic evidence and courtroom testimony. Jordan was also the office's designated white collar crime prosecutor and led the successful prosecution of the first unemployment fraud case in Western Missouri. His leadership extended to mentoring junior attorneys and advising senior law enforcement officials.
Jordan earned his Juris Doctor with distinction from The University of Iowa College of Law and holds a Bachelor's degree in History and Political Science from Rutgers University, where he graduated cum laude. He is admitted to practice in Missouri, Kansas, and multiple federal courts. Known for his rigorous advocacy and thoughtful counsel, Jordan combines courtroom experience with strategic insight to deliver outstanding legal service.
