Molly Brown Bartalos graduated from the University of Missouri School of Law in 2001. She
has practiced full-time since she became licensed, and she has spent her career litigating a variety of civil matters including employment, personal injury, construction and business disputes. After encouragement from her colleagues, she decided to transition her litigation practice into a mediation practice. In addition to participating in hundreds of mediations during the course of her career as a litigator, Molly has 40 hours of certified mediation training. Molly has also been appointed to act as Special Master in civil cases pending in the Circuit Court of Jackson County, Missouri, and has found that experience to be a natural fit.
In addition to her litigation practice, Molly has developed strong relationships with some
corporate clients and has assisted them in transactional, corporate and business matters, such as the review and drafting of employment contracts, employment manuals and policies, severance agreements, non-compete and non-solicitation agreements, construction contracts, asset purchase agreements, service agreements, leases, articles of incorporation and articles of organization, bylaws, and operating agreements. Molly hopes to continue her relationships with those clients and to assist them with their business needs.
Molly has been named both “Best of the Bar” by the Kansas City Business Journal and a
Missouri and Kansas “Super Lawyer” by Law and Politics every year since 2009. She is also a
2010 graduate of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association Leadership Academy and has
served on the Board of the Association for Women Lawyers of Kansas City, of which she is a
member. Molly currently serves as Vice Chair of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the
Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association (“KCMBA”) and is serving a three-year term as a
Member-at-Large on the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Foundation (“KCMBF”) Board of Directors.
